Award of Fellowship/Scholarship for cultural research

          The Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India has introduced a scheme for award of fellowship/scholarship to Indians and foreign scholars and academics. The Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Samiti is one of the participating institutions for administering the scheme. In furtherance of the objective of the scheme the Samiti invites applications from interested scholars who may send their applications addressed to the Director, GSDS, Rajghat, New Delhi – 110002 on plain paper alongwith bio-data, a list of publications and other relevant documents including one page synopses of the work he/she wishes to do with names of two referees and their contact details. Application can be sent by email 2010gsds@gmail.com also. 

          The Samiti will award two scholarship and two fellowship for taking up project/research work related to promotion of Gandhiji’s ideal and the national causes identified with him such as communal harmony, peace, conflict resolution and allied subjects. The fellowship/scholarship will be tenable for a maximum period of 2 years extendable in suitable cases and carries a sum of Rs.80,000/- for fellowship and Rs. 50,000/- for scholarship plus actual of contingencies upto Rs.10,000/- per month.
