Yagya Expo- 2075 Discusses Traditional Aspects of Vedic Arts and Sciences

Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, in association with Arsa Bharati Trust, Gouras Pariwar, Telangana G.O.U. Federation (Goras Organizations United Federation, Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA) and Multiple Voluntary Institutions, have jointly organized “Y.A.G.Y.A. Expo – 2075” from July 14 – 24 July, 2018 at Gandhi Darshan.

The main objective of the expo was to showcase the traditional aspects of applied Vedic arts & Sciences of Yog, Ayurveda, Govidya, Yagya, etc. with a prime focus on their potential applications in present day’s agriculture, Health Care, Education, Culture, Environment Protection (Reversal of Climate Change), Livelihood Generation and Community bonding, thereby achieving the global goals of sustainable development S.D.Gs – 2030 which states: (No poverty, Zero hunger, Clean Water & Sanitation, Good Health and well-being, reduced inequalities, responsible consumption and production, sustainable cities and communities, climate action, Quality education, etc.)

The expo was inaugurated by Shri Manhar Zala (Chairman, National Safai karamchari Commission) at the I.G.N.C.A. auditorium on July 14, 2018. Shri Subhash Jindal (Patron of Bharat Sevak Samaj) presided over the inaugural session that was attended by over 60 delegates from various parts of the country.

Other dignitaries who occupied the Dias included Dr. ISH Narang (Delhi Arya Pratinidhi Sabha), Er. Subodh Kumar (Working President of G.O.U. Federation), Umesh Chandra Gaur (CCBOS of India) and Melinda IRTL FOLDING (Goras Pariwar, Hungary). The Inaugural session concluded with a cultural program of Sh. S.V. Rao and his team members.

The three major events of Y.A.G.Y.A. conference – “Somayag Workshop” and “G.O.W. Sansad” were organized in Gandhi Darshan.

The Y.A.G.Y.A. conference was organized from July 15-17, during which presentations on Yog-Ayurved-Govidya-Yagya-Anusandhan and their applications in various sectors (for S.D.Gs) were made by Er. Subodh Kumar, Dr. ISH Narang, Dr. Mamta Saxena (Advisor, Horticulture Dept, Ministry of Agriculture, Farmer welfare, G.O.I.), Akash Chourasiya (Unnat Krishi Abhiyan Parisad), Prof. M.M. Bajaj, Dr. Jagveer Rawat (Lala Lajpat Rai Veterinary Univ, Hisar) etc.

The Somayag Workshop was organized during July 18-22 July covering multiple themes of “Gurukul Education”, “Traditional health care systems”, “Waste management techniques for sustainable development of rural clusters”. A daily routine based on the principles of Yog and Ayurved was followed by all the delegates during the five-day workshop that included the practice of “Asanas & Yog, Sandhya-Agnihotra, Meditation Practice”, etc.

“G.O.W. Sansad” was organized during July 23-24, 2018 that covered various aspects of cow based integrated rural development towards achieving the global goals of sustainable development (SDGs-2030). The main discussions took place on “Goras-Clusters” under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan’s green economy programme (for NCR-Delhi) and upon the two resolutions passed in earlier “Gow-Sansad” held in Bhopal (M.P.) during July4-5, 2018 which are as under:

  1. Formation of “Rashtriya Gochar Vikas Board” to coordinate the constitution & proper functioning of Goseva Ayog/Board in all states and union territories and to facilitate pasture-land development besides waste-land reclamation.
  2. Promotion of Govidya-Research and Lok-Shikshan through the state Goseva Ayog/Board in selected villages to develop them into model Green-Economy Clusters.
  3. The expo was attended by over 150 delegates from 15 states during the ten-day programme, besides two delegates from abroad.
