The Second Round Table Conference began in London on 12th September 1931.
This conference commenced on 12th September 1931 at St. James's Palace in London. Its objective was to discuss constitutional reforms for India. The conference was chaired by British Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald. Mahatma Gandhi participated as the sole representative of the Indian National Congress.
The conference lasted until 1st December 1931. Around 100 representatives from various political, religious, and social groups took part in it. Like the previous conference, this one too ended without any concrete outcome, mainly due to disagreements over the issue of separate electorates for minorities.
